What’s Two Percent?
Two percent may not seem like a lot, but when it comes to your retirement, it can make a big difference. How much is two percent, and what could it mean to you?

Two percent of a football field is only 6 feet. That’s not even a first down!

Two percent of a pizza is not even the crust from one slice. That’s probably less than what the dog gets.

Two percent of your day is just under 30 minutes. That’s enough time to watch your favorite sitcom.

Two percent of two-hour movie is about 2 1/2 minutes. Previews last longer that that!

Two percent of the land mass of the United States is about the size of the state of Washington. It’s the Evergreen state.

Two percent milk has about 5 grams of fat and 8 grams of protein per serving. Does a body good!

Earning $25,000 a year, two percent of a semi-monthly paycheck would be $20. That could buy you a gourmet cup of coffee everyday. However, if you saved that amount from every paycheck over the next 30 years, you could end up with an additional $59,800 in retirement. That could buy you a whole lot more coffee! Finding an extra two percent may not be as difficult as it seems, and it could mean a more comfortable retirement! Now isn’t that worth your two cents?
