MTS Goals and Objectives:
1. To increase teens’ self esteem, accountability, inner strength, hope,
trust, success and serenity;
2. To help teens identify their roadblocks and the effects these hurdles
have on their productivity;
3. To help teens distinguish between what happens to them by coincidence
versus what is drawn
To them by their personalities, attitudes, dispositions;
4. To raise the understanding that everything is a choice. Participants learn to make integrity-based Decisions and to elevate the level of conversation with others and about themselves.

We love our children, they are our future. But as we look at them today,what do we see looming in their paths? We see drugs; we see crime and all types of other things as the order for today. In order to meet their desires and dreams to belong, they get caught up in gangs, drugs, crime and the confusion of peer pressure. They sometimes feel they are in this battle all by themselves.
Today our mission as concerned citizens and parents is to take back what the enemy has stolen, to be a sign post by the side of the road just pointing the way; to be that sounding board; to be that voice in the wilderness saying you can make it. The greatest power that we have is the power to choose. Isn’t it wonderful to know that you have the power to choose what you will think, what you will say and do? You have the power to take what you have and make what you want of it, wow what a blessing.
MTS teaches that you have the ability to make a conscious choice and that choice sets you apart from the lower animals. Through the constant exercise of this power, you can succeed or fail in today’s world of confusion-the choice is yours. Let’s stop and think about it, you can choose to be friendly or you can choose to be unfriendly. You can choose to be helpful, or you can choose to refuse to help. You can choose to be cooperative or you can choose to be stubborn. You can choose to get excited or you can choose to be calm. You can choose to lose your temper or you can choose to overlook the matter, which would ordinarily cause you to get upset. You can choose to be loveable or you can choose to be bitter. You can choose to smile or you can choose to walk around with a long face. You can choose to be trusting or you can choose to distrust everyone you meet. Stop and think about it again, don’t you do your own choosing? You certainly do.
Faith is simply your state of mind and mind is the creative law of life. If you have faith in success you will succeed; if you have faith in failure you will fail. You are always thinking and thoughts produce after their kind. "You may not be what you think you are, but what you think...you are". What you think, what you believe, and what you are convinced about, is the truth. Through choice of thoughts and choice of belief you can control your experiences. As we change our thinking towards our youth, our beliefs about them will change, thus the things we expect of them will change. These changes will bring about new attitudes towards them. It is my prediction that this will cause a different behavior and performance from the youth of the community. The choice is ours.
